Improve your Putting
The myth about topspin leads a lot of golfers to try and alter their putting stroke to “create more”. Normally, putters have 4 degrees of loft on them. In the putting stroke, the ball will skid for the first 6-18 inches depending on the length of putt. So when golfers let the shoulders do the work instead of the wrists, loft variation is unchanged.
A wristy stroke has the tendency to make balls bounce and bobble towards the hole leaving them susceptible to the irregularities of the putting surface.
Tip
| A good tip is just to practice putting with your right hand. This will teach you the importance of keeping the hands “quiet” in the stroke and to allow the shoulders to control the putting action. |
