Places to Visit

Cheshire is a county packed with activities and places to visit. With the historic city of Chester as the capital of the county you can visit the roman walls surrounding the city. Take a boat ride down the river Dee or visit places like Jodrell Bank, little Moreton Hall and national trust properties such as Tatton hall in knutsford. Below you will find details of places of interest and things to do in and around Cheshire.

The Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics is the astronomical research centre of the University of Manchester and operates MERLIN, the UK's national radio astronomy facility. Jodrell Bank is a world leader in radio astronomy-related research and technology development but also carries out research across the electromagnetic spectrum and in theoretical topics.
What floats your boat? A day messing about on the river? A walk on the city walls? Shopping in designer boutiques or meeting the animals at the zoo? A family picnic in the park or all the fun of the fair? Chester gives you all this, and more. It’s the differences that make it special. The River Dee meanders through the city; hire a boat, be taken on a river trip or go fishing.
